    Description


    Reporting to the General Manager for one of the fastest growing companies focusing on intermodal, port drayage, warehousing and OTR transportation services.

    The organization has over 18 years of experience servicing the Midwest and Southeast markets with over 200 power units, 12 physical terminal locations, and service 18 markets.

    The company's goal is to not only provide the highest possible level of drayage services but to be the industry leader in transportation solutions.


    The Terminal Manager is the senior leader in the terminal and is responsible for the overall operation of the facility including operations, customer service, financial performance, and employee development.

    They will lead the terminal staff to ensure the company's goals and objectives are met while creating a productive and safe environment for employees and vendors.

    They are continuously assessing service delivery to make sure customer expectations are exceeded. Oversee distribution of transportation work. Evaluate transportation services, and implement changes where needed to improve service and contain cost. Act decisively to resolve problems. Ensure facility is always managed and operating properly for full productivity with the goal of scaling growth.


    Background Required:
    Intermodal / Drayage Terminal Management (3-5 years)
    Experience managing Owner Operations
    Supervision (dispatchers, customer service, drivers)
    Established standard operating procedures & metrics
    DOT & OSHA Regulations / Hours of Service Regulations
    Knowledge of bills of lading, in gate/out gate, dock receipts, delivery orders, HazMat placarding

    Computer literate:
    Microsoft Office Suite (Power Point, Word, Excel)

    Education:
    High School Diploma


    Location:
    Charleston, SC

    Travel Percentage: 10%

    Financial (P & L, Forecasting, Budgets)
    Recruitment of Owner Operators

    Education:
    Bachelor's degree
