    Overview:
    Front Desk Representative

    West Deptford Outpatient Facility

    40 Hours Weekly

    $20 per four, PLUS full benefits (equivalent to about $15k annually)


    MUST have:
    Minimum of 2 years experience in a medical facility, preferably at the front desk or in the insurance department.

    Must have excellent oral and written communications skills.

    Assists in the day-to-day operations of the reception area.

    Greets patients; obtains and verifies patient demographics and updates the system accordingly; answers telephones and routes calls in accordance with policy and procedure.


    Responsibilities:
    Welcomes patients and visitors by greeting patients and visitors, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries.

    Optimizes patients' satisfaction, provider time, by scheduling appointments in person or by telephone.

    Keeps patient appointments on schedule by notifying provider of patient's arrival

    Comforts patients by anticipating patients' anxieties; answering patients' questions; maintaining the reception area.

    Maintains patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and insurance information.


    Obtains revenue by recording and updating financial information; recording and collecting patient charges; controlling credit extended to patients; filing, collecting, and expediting third-party claims.

    Helps patients in distress by responding to emergencies.

    Protects patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information.

    Maintains operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes.

    Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

    Qualifications:

    Qualifications:
    HS Diploma.

    Minimum of 2 years experience in a medical facility, preferably at the front desk or in the insurance department.

    Must have excellent oral and written communications skills.
