+ Bachelor's degree
+ Five years grant contract experience four additional years experience may accepted in lieu degree extensive experience negotiating complex agreements strongly preferred
+ Certified Research Administrator CRA certification preferred
+ Knowledge law related commercial contracts public procurement contracting including interpretation negotiation superb organizational time management skills strong interpersonal skills keen eye detail ability effectively manage high volume time-sensitive tasks multiple stakeholder groups communicate clearly professionally university faculty staff counsel opposing parties expert-level knowledge different types contracting methods used procurement transactions demonstrated ability support Medical Center partnership revenue-generating opportunities fall outside traditional procurement guidelines require complex collaboration broad considerations diverse stakeholder groups including University leadership faculty staff proven ability lead process improvement initiatives including improvement templates processes cross-functional workflows staff training development creative pragmatically negotiate complex agreement lead cost savings superior written oral English communication drafting negotiation conflict resolution skills deep understanding contract provisions structures proven ability partner colleagues clients team environment working across many diverse internal groups teams departments adjusting necessary adapt work patterns processes confidence quickly identify analyze develop creative smart solutions difficult problems challenges demanding fast-paced environment operate independently limited supervision organize documents electronically stored information concise logical analytical manner derive conclusions recommendations involve subtle sophisticated judgments
