QUALIFICATIONS
Any combination equivalent to:
high school diploma, G.E.D. Certificate or demonstrated progress toward obtaining a G.E.D. as required by Kentucky law one-year experience in working with children in an organized setting.
POSITION SUMMARY
Creates strong, welcoming relationships with Nelson County Schools families, students, and staff.
Provides stakeholders with clear and precise collection of data that supports schools and district staff in regards to attendance, enrollment, home hospital, Out-of-Area/Out-of-District, truancy, and homeschool.
DISTRICT AND SCHOOL PRIORITY ALIGNMENT
Align actions with district and school values and core priorities.
Evaluated based on the efficacy of aligned actions.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
Communicate and maintain effective relationships with students, parents, staff, and public.
Create a welcoming and hospitable front office for community members, guests, families, students, and staff.
Keep accurate attendance records for the building, including student attendance, absences, tardies, use of parent notes.
Use state and local platforms for record keeping, including Infinite Campus and the Google Suite.
Serve as a primary point of contact for families and school staff in communicating and addressing attendance-related concerns and matters with parents or guardians, including those related to absenteeism, excuses, parent notes, and truancy.
Support and oversee the process for implementation of and communication related to all aspects of out-of-area and out-of-district applications for the assigned school.
Support auditing and processing of enrollment, attendance, and transfer records (including record requests) as necessary to ensure compliance with applicable laws for student record keeping.
In support of the DPP, serve as a liaison between the schools and the parents, the courts, community agencies and police authorities.
Maintain up-to-date and accurate student records in digital and cumulative folders.
Apply and explain policies and procedures related to school and program activities, student attendance, and sign-out procedures to families, students, and school community.
Maintain and facilitate an enrollment process that aligns with the district mission and vision.
Participate in district-required trainings and meetings. Demonstrate a commitment to professional growth.
Demonstrate punctuality and regular attendance.
Maintain appropriate professional appearance.
Adhere to the appropriate code of ethics.
Perform other duties as assigned by Superintendent or designee.

Ability to connect and partner closely with the Nelson County community.
Ability to build relationships, build training programs for staff, and assist in data collection and report running in multiple areas.
Knowledge and experience working with Infinite Campus and data collection and analysis.
