    Augusta University - Reporting to the Associate Vice President for Enrollment Management, the Director of Student Financial Aid and Scholarship provides leadership for the Student Financial Aid Office and manages all activities related to the administration of institutional, federal, and state financial aid for undergraduate, graduate, and professional students enrolled at Augusta University.

    Responsible for disbursing over $140M in funding annually, the director supervises a dedicated and experienced staff of 16 full-time individuals all working toward the goals of student access and success.

    This role requires a leader who will collaborate with administrative and academic departments on campus to facilitate the planning, development, implementation, assessment, reporting, and compliance activities for all financial aid programs.

    The director works to ensure best practices and regulations are followed for all students receiving financial aid and works collaboratively with other offices to ensure excellent student-centered service to assist in the meeting of University enrollment goals.

    This is a 12-month full-time exempt position.

    While the expectation is that the majority of work days/hours are conducted on-campus, this position does have the flexibility to maintain a hybrid work schedule that would allow for some remote work.

    It is the Director's responsibility, at the discretion of the Associate Vice President for Enrollment Management, to establish a rotational office schedule with members of the Student Financial Aid team to ensure adequate office coverage.

    Manage all financial aid and academic scholarship awarding, disbursement, and reporting and ensure that Augusta is in compliance with institutional policies and state/federal regulations.

    Establish best practices to ensure regulatory compliance.

    Ensure all institutional, federal, and state reporting related to financial aid, including but not limited to the annual FISAP, PPA, and COA, are maintained in a timely manner.

    Leverage the available technology to create efficiencies, improve communication, and ensure data integrity in the financial aid functional areas.

    Serve in data stewardship of the Ellucian Banner Financial Aid system.
    Maintain a high-performance environment through the leadership, hiring, supervision, training, and development of the financial aid office staff.
    Develop and execute financial aid education presentations on-campus, off-campus, and virtually.

    Liaise with Dental College of Georgia (DCG) and Medical College of Georgia (MCG) to facilitate financial wellness support to students.

    In collaboration with the Associate Vice President for Enrollment Management, develop and implement policies and strategies for awarding institutional need-based financial aid that best maximize the yield of new students and the retention of current students.

    Complete or assist Institutional Reporting in the completion of all reports related to student financial aid data for external sources including, but not limited to, IPEDs, the Common Data Set, the NCAA reports, the Fact Book.

    Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum of five - seven years of progressive financial aid experience.

    Master's degree from an accredited college or university
    Certified Financial Aid Administrator (CFAA), NASFAA credential, or CPA
    Strong database skills, including advanced experience with Excel and MS Office Suite
    Proven record of financial analysis and planning, including financial aid leveraging
    Shift/Salary/Benefits

    Shift:
    Days; Monday - Friday (work outside of the normal business hours will likely be required of an employee in an exempt level position)

    Motor vehicle reports are required for positions that are required to drive an Augusta University vehicle.

    Final candidates will be required to provide proof of completed academic degree(s) as well as post-secondary coursework in the form of original transcript(s).

    Credit Check


    This position will require the acquisition of a P-Card and/or handle cash, credit or other sensitive information and will require a satisfactory Consumer Credit check as a condition of employment.
