    Job Description

    Job DescriptionMinimum 1+ years special education experience required.

    Job Title: School Special Education Teacher Opening

    Location: Southlake, TX

    Dates: January 8, May 24, 2024

    Hours: 37.5 hours per week

    Caseload/Details:

    • Life skills teacher for an elementary classroom
    • Serves 5 students part day, reducing to three students by the end of the day
    • Additional paraprofessional support in the classroom

    Special Requirements:

    • Valid Texas Special Education (SPED) License

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students
    • Provide specialized instruction to meet the unique needs of each student
    • Collaborate with paraprofessionals to create a supportive learning environment
    • Assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
    • Maintain open communication with students, parents, and support staff

    Qualifications:

    • Texas Special Education (SPED) License
    • Previous experience in a special education setting
    • Familiarity with life skills instruction
    • Ability to work collaboratively with paraprofessionals and support staff
    • Strong organizational and communication skills
