- Proactively manage assigned accounts through the invoice to cash cycle to include collections, billing dispute identification and resolution. Maintain meticulous notes and comments via various tracking systems.
- Serve as the single point of contact for internal and external inquiries, requests and issues related to accounts receivable, credit approval and Coop membership.
- Gather pertinent credit information to perform credit reviews for new and existing customers. Provide information to Credit Manager for credit approval.
- Drive desired customer payment behavior through visits, calls, reports, and other forms of timely and insightful contact with customers. He/she also employs collection technique and negotiation to maximize cash flow and create a favorable financial relationship and customer experience.
- Collaborate internally with Sales, Supply Chain, etc. to respond to customer related inquiries. Participate in negotiations and contribute to cross-functional, end-to-end solutions to improve cashflow and the customer experience.
- Create and update customer accounts and manage customer master dataset.
- Identify/execute opportunities for process improvements to increase efficiency.
- Serve as periodic backup for front desk. Answer main phone line and greet customers in a personalized, friendly, and inviting manner.
- 2-year Degree in Accounting, Business or Finance required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum two (2) years in Finance, Accounts Receivable, Accounting or related industry experience is required.
- Previous experience in the Agriculture, Energy and/or Retail industry preferred.
- Previous collection experience required. Knowledge of Agriculture, Feed, Energy and/or Retail industry desired.
- Microsoft Office – Intermediate skill level is required. (For example, candidate must have proficiency to utilize excel charts, pivot tables and v-lookup)

Overview:
Responsible for the proactive evaluation, investigation and timely collection of outstanding accounts receivables. Manages low to high level customer accounts as defined by sales volume, credit exposure, risk and/ or other factor(s).
