    Description

    Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Human Resources Generalist to lead our HR department and drive the development and implementation of effective HR strategies, policies, and programs. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing all aspects of the HR function, fostering a positive work culture, and ensuring documentation and compliance. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and a passion for promoting employee engagement and organizational growth.

    Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with department heads and leadership to identify HR needs and provide strategic HR support to achieve business goals.
  • At the direction of Divisional Leaders, implement end-to-end recruitment process, including job posting, candidate sourcing, interviewing (with final approval by Hiring Manager), and onboarding, to attract and retain top-tier talent.
  • Develop a tracking and analytic system for recruiting, retention, and hiring that is accessible to management to see hiring progress.
  • Ensure compliance with DOT and FMCSA regulations and work with the safety department on the proper onboarding of these individuals.
  • Ensure ADP is being fully utilized for all HR and payroll operations
  • Be available for employee issues regarding HR and payroll and resolve department issues as needed.
  • Assist with the Workers Compensation management and ensure light duty workers are managed quickly to return to regular duty.
  • Develop, implement, and oversee the setup and management of payroll software to ensure accurate, efficient, and compliant payroll processing.
  • Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to ensure seamless integration of payroll data into financial systems.
  • Ensure compliance with payroll-related regulations, tax requirements, and reporting obligations.
  • Review and validate payroll data to resolve discrepancies and ensure timely and accurate payments to employees.
  • Analyze payroll processes and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Develop and monitor HR metrics and analytics related to payroll processing to assess effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
  • Provide expert guidance on employment law, regulations, and HR best practices to ensure compliance and mitigate potential risks.
  • Track employee records and ensure communication with employees to mitigate any potential lapse in certifications.
  • Document and assist in the implementation of any comprehensive training and development programs that enhance employee skills, performance, and career growth.
  • Track and document performance management initiatives and reviews set by Divisional Leaders to drive employee and organizational success.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment by championing diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives and addressing workplace issues promptly and effectively.
  • Document and manage employee relations, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievance procedures, while maintaining a fair and respectful approach.
  • Manage Company wide communication to Employees including benefits enrollment, company news, training initiatives and internal job postings.
  • Research and bring additional benefit options to the management team for review to entice quality candidates (life insurance, short/long term disability, Aflac, ect..)
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in human resources to continuously enhance the organization's HR practices.
  • Create and foster relationships with trade organizations and develop pipelines to attract and retain top-tier talent.
  • Must be able to travel to all Company locations.
  • Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in human resources management roles, with a track record of successfully implementing HR strategies and programs.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Proficient with ADP
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
