    Shifts: 1st Shift: 5:45AM-4:15PM Monday-Thursday: Because we know you love a 3 day weekend

    Job Summary: the Maintenance Technician will setup, maintain and repair machinery and equipment.

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

    1. Performs setup of equipment for new jobs and trains operators.
    2. Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment.
    3. Detects malfunction and discusses machine operation variation with Manufacturing Engineer to diagnose problems or repair machine.
    4. Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts.
    5. Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears and other parts of machinery.
    6. Responsible for maintenance activities at the facility that could generate hazardous waste and other environmental management responsibilities.
    7. Runs production jobs as required.
    8. Performs basic welding as needed to maintain facility equipment.
    9. May drive company vehicles as required.
    10. Performs other work-related duties as assigned.

    REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    1. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident of the United States (ITAR restrictions).
    2. Must be at least 18 years of age to work at this facility.
    3. Must be eligible to possess explosives under the Safe Explosives Act of 2003 (as amended) as required by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) for all employees of Tech Ord.
    4. High School diploma or GED required. Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school preferred. Six months to one year related experience preferred.
    5. Knowledge of manufacturing processes preferred.
    6. Basic understanding of electronic components and the ability to read/understand schematics.
    7. Basic welding experience or knowledge is preferred.
    8. Ability to learn and develop proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel applications, as well as internal data systems.
    9. Ability to communicate and document effectively in English.
    10. Ability to obtain and maintain a Driver's License upon hire.
    11. Function Specific RCRA training upon hire.
    12. Ability to work effectively with other employees as part of a team.
    13. Ability to multi-task in support of end-result/goal.
    14. Excellent organizational skills.
    15. Ability to set and establish priorities.

    4. Must be able to use hands to finger, handle, or feel, as well as reach with hands and arms.
    5. Ability to bend, kneel, or squat in order to work on various equipment or when moving items.
    6. Lifting of 10 pounds is required. Ability to move by lifting, pushing, or pulling up to 50 pounds as well as 50 pounds or greater with assistance.
    7. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus when viewing a computer monitor.
    8. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, and explosives.
    9. Ear protection is required as identified throughout the facility.
    10. Where required employees must wear a minimum of 50% cotton clothing including undergarments to mitigate electrostatic discharge (ESD). Employees must also wear company issued safety footwear.
