Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced L&D RN with Massachusetts license, recent L&D and postpartum experience, and required certifications for night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital Labor & Delivery unit with specialized operating rooms for Cesarean births
• Patient population includes laboring, postpartum, and newborn patients
• Night shift position, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required and holiday coverage if needed
• On-call requirements may apply
• Requires collaboration with obstetricians, midwives, and lactation consultants
• Provide patient-focused care during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods
• Support individualized birthing plans and provide guidance to mothers and families
• Orientation is 8 hours and non-billable
• Maximum of 3 days requested time off (RTO) allowed and must be submitted at application
• Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility will not be considered
• Scrubs or dress code details not specified
• First-time travelers considered if all qualifications met

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
• Minimum 2 years of current Labor & Delivery experience required
• Postpartum and Mother/Baby experience required
• Valid American Heart Association BLS, NRP, and STABLE certifications required
• Current skills checklists for L&D, Post Partum, and Mother Baby (within the past year)
• One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years required
• Permanent address required for consideration
• Must have own vehicle for assignment
