Job Summary

This Radiologic Technologist role is responsible for performing general diagnostic procedures using x-ray and auxiliary equipment. The ideal candidate will ensure proper information is obtained for physician diagnosis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Patient Preparation: Prepare patients for examination, explaining procedures in layman terms to alleviate anxiety.
• Screening and Consent: Ensure patients are screened according to protocol and obtain consent when necessary.
• Equipment Setup: Set up equipment to administer procedures in a timely fashion.
• X-Ray Imaging: Obtain x-ray images of anatomical areas of interest as prescribed for physician interpretation.
• Patient Monitoring: Monitor patient condition during examination, recognizing and reporting abnormal changes.
• Data Accuracy: Ensure accuracy of all patient data and process imaging as required.
• Equipment Maintenance: Perform minor repairs and adjustments on equipment as needed.
• Cleaning and Sanitation: Maintain cleanliness of work area, equipment, and accessories.

Qualifications:

• Radiologic Technology Program: Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program.
• Licensure: New York State Department of Health licensure as a Radiologic Technologist.
• Registration: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration.
• Communication: Ability to communicate effectively.
