Job Description

Coffman Engineers' Anchorage office is seeking a self-motivated, creative, Cathodic Protection Technician who would like to work and grow as a team player within our multi-discipline firm. This position offers flexible schedule options for either full or seasonal work. The successful individual will have a strong work ethic as well as experience collaborating in a team environment.

Responsibilities May Include:

Performing Cathodic Protection Surveys for various structures (pipelines, docks, etc.)
Performing Close Interval Surveys
Assisting with Internal Corrosion Evaluations & Monitoring
Locating pipelines and performing depth of cover surveys
Atmospheric Corrosion Control Inspections
Preparing technical reports

This position is not eligible for sponsorship. This position is on-site, in person.

Qualifications

Requirements Include:

NACE CP2 Technician certification or greater required
2 years minimum of cathodic protection experience is required
College degree preferred
Oil and gas, department of defense (DOD), and water/wastewater cathodic protection experience preferred
Ability to perform domestic and international travel, perform extended field work, and work overtime
Exceptional organization, writing and communication skills
Competency in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel
Valid driver's license and driving record that meets Coffman's stringent requirements
Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC) or eligibility to obtain a TWIC
