Pierce County's only Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic is looking for a qualified Registered Nurse to join our Youth Residents in Tacoma WA.

Pearl is one of 5 Children's Long-term Inpatient Programs (CLIP) in the state and we serve youth ages 12-18 who have demonstrated an inability to maintain safety in their home or community.

We offer: Medical, dental, and vision with 100% paid premiums for employees, 11 paid holidays, Mileage reimbursement, 403(b)-retirement plan, and Tuition Assistance, Continuing education programs, and Health club reimbursement.

Function:

Provide nursing and medical services to the residents of the Children's Residential Treatment Facility.
Serves as a member of an organization that welcomes, engages, and serves individuals with complex wellness needs.

Responsibilities:

Provide nursing and medical services to residents.
Provide education regarding prescribed medication and medical treatment to residents, families, and staff.
Document in the progress notes the provision of care and the clinical and behavioral observations of residents, using the electronic health record
Administer and document medications adhering to state and program guidelines.
Provide emergency medical care as needed.
Receive and transcribe medical and medication orders and add medications to the electronic prescribing program

Qualifications:

BSN, RN. WA State Registered Nurse. One-year work experience with children and/or adolescents. Experience or knowledge of psychotropic medications. Psychiatric experience, child development, milieu treatment, crisis intervention, and individual, group, and family counseling experience.
Current CPR certification.
Valid Washington State driver's license; proof of insurance.

Schedule: We are currently filling positions for all shifts. We may be able to accommodate 12-hour, 10-hour, or weekend double shifts. Days and hours to be determined prior to interview.
