WM2A Architects is looking for an experienced architect to join our firm. We are a boutique architecture firm specializing in healthcare, commercial, industrial, and education design. We are a technology-forward design firm, keeping up to date on the latest software to best serve our range of clients. We have won many awards in our long and established history, and we are fortunate to work with many repeat clients. As a small architecture firm, we work as a team to take projects from the conceptual phase of design all the way to construction administration.

This opening is for a full-time, salaried position. Please note that it is an on-site position in one of our offices – Macon, Georgia or Hillsville, Virginia. We offer a competitive salary, Health Insurance, and a 401(k) match

Successful Applicant's Qualifications will include:

· A bachelor's or master's degree in Architecture from an NAAB accredited school.

· 2+ years of work experience in a design firm.

· Proven Proficiency in Revit, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Suite.

· NCARB License preferred, but not required

· Experience in the Design Process, Construction Documentation, Rendering, and Details.

· Must have excellent communication skills, organizational skills, a positive attitude, and a strong work ethic.

Successful Applicant's Role will include:

· Collaborating with architects, engineers, and interior designers in the Construction Document Production - from Conceptual Design through Construction Administration

· A strong ability to detail construction elements and communicate design intent in drawings and in presentations with supervision.

· Develop Plans, Elevations, and Architectural Details to illustrate the understanding of the space and use of materials.

· Help Senior Staff in reviewing, and approving submittals, correspondence, change orders, and shop drawings. Completes and maintains project files.

• Assist coordination of architectural drawings with drawings from other professional disciplines related to each project.
• Perform field surveys and gathers pertinent information required to accomplish design and construction drawings.
