Job Description Operations Superintendent-Waggaman, LAThis is a full-time, exempt level position


Position Summary:
ADM is seeking an operations superintendent to manage and oversee crane barges and personnel for the successful execution of loading and discharging vessels midstream based out of American River Transportation Company (ARTCo) in Waggaman, LA

Job Responsibilities:
Oversight of multiple crane barges and maintenance of personnelAssists with managing discharge and load rotations and making sure they are followedEnsure proper general housekeeping and upkeep of the rig, including cleaning and painting procedures are being followedManage operational readiness of cranes, barges and mobile equipmentCoordinate mechanical repairs with other managers and colleagues for the completion of tasks in stevedoring operationsManage completion of required electronic reports and forms by shift leads and crewMaintain accurate reports of all injuries, illnesses, near misses, damage or other issuesCreate new revise existing Standard Operating ProceduresAdditional duties and responsibilities as required or requested

Job Requirements:

Ability to collaborate as a team with other operations managers and departmentsReading and writing skills sufficient to comprehend/complete a variety of documentsWorking knowledge in stevedoring operationsPromote the ADM Way and core ValuesMust have a demonstrated history of safe work behavior and a sincere desire to follow and improve upon safety policies and proceduresAbility to work extended hours, evenings, weekends and HolidaysCurrent Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card required.
