Summary:
- The Certified Technician supports the pharmacist by compounding and dispensing medications under pharmacists' supervision.

Responsibilities:
- Compounds and prepares various medications under the pharmacist's supervision.
- Delivers medications and handles patient billing using automated systems.
- Responds to customer requests and supports pharmacy services.
- Operates automated dispensing technology.
- Manages inventory and expiration dates.
- Assists in training new employees and contributes to process improvement.

Other Information
Education Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED. Completion of a pharmacy technician training program is preferred.
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
- Registration with the NC Board of Pharmacy is required unless enrolled in a PharmD program.
- CPhT from PTCB or ExCPT from NHA is required unless enrolled in a PharmD program.
Professional Experience Requirements:
- Previous pharmacy technician experience is preferred.
