Are you passionate about cookies and leadership? Join our team as an Evening Shift Lead at The Cookie Bar As a Shift Lead, you'll play a key role in ensuring the bakery runs smoothly while spreading cookie happiness far and wide.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and motivate our talented front of house team during your shifts, ensuring delicious cookies are baked to perfection and served with a smile.
- Coordinate cookie production schedules like a pro, keeping our ovens humming and our cookie warmers brimming with goodness.
- Keep a watchful eye on ingredient levels and to ensure we're always ready to bake.
- Train and support new team members, sharing your love for cookies and our commitment to quality.
- Maintain impeccable cleanliness and food safety standards to create a safe and inviting bakery environment.
- Handle customer inquiries and concerns with warmth and efficiency, turning every visit into a delightful experience.
- Keep meticulous records of production, inventory, and sales to keep our bakery running like a well-oiled cookie machine.
- Decorate cookie cakes an an as needed basis to help customer celebrate with the best cookies cakes around
Requirements:
- A genuine passion for baking and a knack for leadership, with some experience in a bakery setting.
- Experience decorating cakes or cookie cakes with buttercream. Knowledge of royal icing sugar cookie decorating techniques are a bonus
- Knowledge of baking techniques and ingredients
- Experience handling money quickly and accurately
- Excellent communication and organizational skills to keep everything running smoothly.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and juggle multiple tasks with ease.
- Weekend and Evening availability required.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Food Manager Certificate (required prior to leading shifts solo)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds
