    job summary:
    Per diem is available Large utility is looking for an Electrical Engineer in Grand Rapids, MI.

    The Electrical Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining electrical systems and products, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring compliance with standards, and preparing specifications and reports.

    This is a contract position estimated to last 5 months, possible extension, possible temp to perm.

    Grand Rapids, Michigan job type: Contract salary: $ per hour work hours: 8am to 4pm education: Bachelors responsibilities: Design, control, and implement electrical systems and products.

    Design, maintain, implement, or improve electrical instruments, facilities, components, equipment, or systems for various purposes.
    Perform a wide range of engineering tasks using computer-assisted design or engineering software and equipment.
    Collaborate with customers, coworkers, and other stakeholders to discuss existing or potential engineering products or projects.

    Ensure installation and operations conform to standards and customer requirements by preparing electrical systems specifications, technical drawings, or topographical maps.

    Establish construction, manufacturing, or installation standards or specifications by performing detailed calculations.

    Ensure compliance with specifications, codes, or customer requirements by directing or coordinating installation, manufacturing, construction, maintenance, documentation, support, or testing activities.


    Skills:
    Knowledge of applicable codes related to electronic engineering.
    Proficiency in design and calculation software.
    Written and verbal communication skills.
    Organizational skills and attention to detail.
    Analytical and problem-solving skills.
    Knowledge of electric utility distribution planning, construction, operation, and maintenance.
    Working knowledge of electric utility operation, including generation, transmission, and distribution of three-phase alternating current power.



    Education:

    Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited university or Engineering degree from a non-ABET-accredited university plus Professional Engineering license
