At STERIS we help our Customers create a healthier and safer world by providing innovative healthcare and life science product and service solutions around the globe.The Supervisor Sterile Processing will provide onsite support training Customer Service and communication regarding the processing of surgical instruments staff management to contracted facilities in compliance with STERIS Standard Work or QMS Department of Health TJC DNV OSHA CDC AAMI and AORN standards facility goals policies Coordinates oversees day-to-day operations of the STERIS IP sterile processing team.

Responsibilities

  • Provides supervision leadership of Sterile Processing Department at assigned facility shift Manages workflow maintains staffing work schedule including evenings weekends holidays ensure on time delivery to Customer Meets with direct reports monthly provide feedback hold employee accountable performance development expectations quality service Responsible partnering leader address resolve employee concerns timely drive employee engagement activities Participates interviews hiring training coaching Customer employees required contract Oversees supports daily operations all activities relate proper processing reusable medical supplies instrumentation including decontamination cleaning assembly sterilization storage processes set professional standards regulations Performs Sterile Processing Technician responsibilities needed ensure on time delivery to Customer Follows chain command within hospital/or STERIS identified problems issues ensure proper communication resolution Responsible answering responding calls from Customer other end-users during after regular business hours required contract Assists manager review all required documentation related STERIS Standard Operating Procedures ensures staff adherence applicable policies procedures Maintains safe work environment setting standards staff use universal precautions personal protective equipment completing daily safety observations Promotes collaboration Customer physicians nursing staff department heads personnel departments Works Education identify developmental training opportunities supports delivery education training required Other duties assigned
