    HR Specialist 13


    This position has sole responsibility for administration and interpretation of the UAW Agreement on a Statewide basis for the Department.

    This position will also interpret MCO, AFSCME, MSEA, and MPE-UTEA Agreements and Civil Service Rules for NERE's for assigned facilities.

    Represent the department in all forums associated with the grievance process.

    HR Analyst 12

    Recognized resource for the administration and interpretation of the UAW Agreement on a statewide basis for the Department. Interpret MCO, MPE, MSEA, and UAW Agreements and Civil Service Rules for NERE's for assigned facilities. Represent the department in all forums associated with the grievance process.

    HR Analyst 9-11

    Function as a labor relations representative on a statewide basis for the Department of Corrections.

    Provide administration and interpretation of MCO, AFSCME, MSEA, MPE, and UAW Agreements and Civil Service Rules for NERE's for assigned facilities.

    Represent the department in all forums associated with the grievance process. As the position develops, it will be more and more responsible for the UAW collective bargaining agreement.

    Human Resources Specialist 13

    Education

    Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major.

    Experience


    Four years of professional experience equivalent to a Human Resources Analyst, including two years equivalent to a Human Resources Analyst P11 or one year equivalent to a Human Resources Analyst 12.

    Human Resources Analyst 9-P11, 12

    Education

    Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major.

    Experience

    Human Resources Analyst 9

    No specific type or amount is required.

    Human Resources Analyst 10

    One year of professional experience providing human resources services equivalent to a Human Resources Analyst 9.

    Human Resources Analyst P11


    Two years of professional experience providing human resources services equivalent to a Human Resources Analyst, including one year equivalent to a Human Resources Analyst 10.

    Human Resources Analyst 12


    Three years of professional experience providing human resources services equivalent to a Human Resources Analyst, including one year equivalent to a Human Resources Analyst P11.

    Human Resources Analyst - 12


    Educational level typically acquired through completion of high school and the equivalent of at least two years of full-time active-duty experience at or above the E-6 level in the uniformed services may be substituted for the education requirement.

    Human Resources Analyst (Departmental Trainee) 9

    Education -Educational level typically acquired through completion of high school.

    Experience -Four years of experience as an advanced 9-level worker in an ECP Group One classification.

    OR

    Three years of experience as an E9, E10, or E11-level worker in an ECP Group One classification.

    OR

    Two years of experience as an experienced level worker in an ECP Group One technician or paraprofessional classification.

    OR

    Two years of experience as a first-line supervisor in an ECP Group Three classification.

    OR

    One year of experience as a second-line supervisor in an ECP Group Three classification.


    • Paraprofessional classifications are those requiring an associate's degree or two years of college.


    Educational Substitution - College credits may be substituted on a proportional basis (one year of college education may substitute for one quarter of the required experience) for up to one half of the required experience.


    New hires to the MDOC along with previous MDOC employees that are returning after being away from the department for more than two years will complete Non-Custody New Employee Training (NCNET) either 40 hours or 80 hours of initial in-person training based on their level of offender contact and job classification.

    All new employees will complete additional online training to successfully complete their non-custody new employee training.
