    Legal Secretary - Immediate Need Los Angeles, CA

    Premier Law firm is currently seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to join their dynamic team in their down-town Los Angeles location. This firm is renowned for its commitment to excellence and is looking for a Legal Secretary with a minimum of 4 years of recent secretarial litigation experience to contribute to their continued success. Experience in employment law, professional liability, and general liability defense is preferred. The ideal candidate should demonstrate a solid grasp of civil litigation, possess exceptional calendaring and organizational abilities, meticulous attention to detail, and the capacity to thrive independently within a bustling office setting. This is a hybrid position - 3 days in office.

    Primary Responsibilities:
    • Editing and finalizing various legal documents, letters, and reports.
    • Manually managing calendars (utilizing Outlook).
    • Handling filings with both state and federal courts, including electronic filings.
    • General administrative tasks encompassing phone correspondence, expense reports, travel arrangements, and the efficient management of attorneys' schedules.
    • Efficiently juggling multiple cases and supporting several attorneys.
    • Excelling both as an independent worker and as a team player.
    Minimum Qualifications:
    • 4+ years of recent litigation experience, preferably in eemployment law, professional liability, and general liability defense.
    • Experience with state and federal court filing, including e-filing experience
    • Adept knowledge of calendaring, encompassing state and federal court regulations, dates, and procedures, sans reliance on calendaring software.
    • Proficiency in using various technical tools, including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
    • Competence in preparing Tables of Authorities (TOA) and Tables of Contents (TOC) within Word.
    • History of crafting diverse legal documents such as motions (e.g., MSJs), discovery materials, pleadings, and judicial council forms.
    • Outstanding communication abilities, coupled with a highly organized nature.
    • Familiarity with software applications like iManage, Coyote Analytics, Westlaw - Deadline Assistant, and PACER.
    • Capacity to adeptly handle multiple tasks concurrently, even under pressure.
    • Openness to constructive feedback and adeptness at working independently with minimal supervision while delivering results.
    • Demonstrated teamwork orientation.
    • Proficiency in technology and a quick, efficient work style, all while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
