    JOB DESCRIPTION:

    The Operations Manager is responsible for building and developing the team and processes to execute the Company's strategic objectives of delivering a best-in-class fulfillment experience while eliminating waste using Lean/CI tools to provide the best possible cost structure for the department. This position will lead the company's receiving, inventory management, quality assurance and all warehousing operations across two shifts within the Distribution Center. The role will provide leadership for +20 Material Handlers, QA techs, Inventory Control personnel, Team Leads and Supervisors. Key to the success of this role will be a focus on individual and team development to create a strong pipeline of talent to fill Team Lead and Supervisory roles in the future. The Operations Manager is also expected to develop and implement innovative solutions that break current paradigms to improve performance and drive costs down. Additionally, the Operations Manager is responsible for routine management activities such as coaching employees, team productivity, scheduling shifts for optimal throughput, issuing disciplinary documents, hiring, and conducting annual performance reviews.

    PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Maintain a safe work environment for employees, ensuring compliance with company and OSHA guidelines

    Maintain and expand the 5S and DMS programs in the Distribution Center, building upon the foundation in place

    Build a customer-centric team culture focused on exceeding customer expectations for quality and delivery

    Utilize existing KPIs and develop new metrics to assess performance and drive improvements

    Motivate and develop the team through DMS and team meetings, as well as individual performance feedback

    Develop a systematic cross-training program to create redundancies in capabilities and the ability to meet shifting needs

    Train and coach employees on lean principles and facilitate practical processes changes to reduce waste

    Define and execute CI projects utilizing tools such as A3s, process flow mapping, and the DMAIC process

    Optimize process flows with the Contact Center and Manufacturing to streamline communication and order fulfillment

    Evaluate staffing and equipment needs to ensure the company has adequate resources to meet shifting sales trends and business growth

    Participate in the annual budgeting process, providing input on personnel, operating, and capital expenditure plans

    Partner with Facilities & Maintenance to minimize equipment downtime and develop routine PM protocols

    Serve as SME (Subject Matter Expert) for the companys WMS system (Solochain), leading testing and training initiatives

    Self-educate on the latest warehousing trends and best practices, sharing applicable findings with senior management and incorporating in Company's operations

    Responsible for scheduling employee shifts, reviewing payroll hours, disciplinary documents, conducting annual reviews

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    Bachelors degree required

    MBA or advanced degree in operations management, engineering or supply chain preferred

    3+ years of supervisory or management experience

    Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
