    Job Description

    We are looking for an experienced Food Manufacturing Maintenance Mechanic to join our esteemed company, known as the Snack Food Capital of the Baking World, based in Santa Ana, CA. If you are excited about a dynamic role with great growth opportunities, this position is ideal for you.

    POSITION: Maintenance Mechanic
    Pay Rate: $29.36-$41.00 *Experience Based

    Schedule: Monday – Friday
    Shifts: 1st, 2nd ,& 3rd *weekend flexibility required
    * OVERTIME OPPORTUNITIES

    Location: Santa Ana, CA 92704

    Responsibilities

    • Regularly inspect, maintain, and repair bakery machinery and equipment for optimal performance and to reduce downtime.
    • Adhere to all GMP requirements.
    • Ability to disassemble, replace defective parts, and reassemble machinery without supervision.
    • Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to prevent unexpected failures and prolong machinery lifespan.
    • Read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints; follow manual instructions.
    • Understand work orders and complete them promptly.
    • Help with installing, calibrating, and testing new equipment or upgrades.
    • Troubleshoot, provide repair or replacement recommendations for improvements.
    • Install plumbing circuits when necessary.
    • Quickly respond to emergency breakdowns to minimize production interruptions and ensure timely repairs.
    • Perform basic welding tasks if needed.
    • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and manual equipment for repairs.
    • Create solutions using PLC controllers and ladder logic programming.
    • Display proficiency in troubleshooting electrical issues methodically.

    Requirements:

    • At least 3-5 years of maintenance experience in food manufacturing or baking.
    • Proficiency in mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems, with the ability to understand technical manuals and schematics.
    • Strong background in electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and millwright work.
    • Compliance with E-Verify requirements.
    • Experience with PLCs, high-speed packaging equipment, and bakery machinery preferred.
    • Current Lock Out/Tag Out Certification, with annual recertification necessary.
    • Preferably possess a Power Industrial Truck (PIT) Certification.
