    Physical Therapist (PT)| Syracuse, NY | Part-time ESY 2024

    We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School-Based Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team. As a school-based physical therapist, you will play a crucial role in supporting students' physical well-being and helping them achieve their full potential. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about working with children, knowledgeable about various therapeutic techniques, and committed to providing high-quality care.

    Job Description:

    • Part-Time hours/week)
      • Onsite, Monday-Friday
    • July 8th-August 16th, 2024
    • Extended School Year position (ESY)
    • Conduct assessments to evaluate students' physical abilities and develop individualized treatment plans.
      Implement therapeutic exercises and interventions to improve students' mobility, strength, and motor skills.
    • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic support for students.
      Monitor students' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed to achieve therapeutic goals.
    • Provide education and guidance to parents and school staff on strategies to support students' physical development.
    • Maintain accurate documentation of evaluations, treatment sessions, and progress reports.

    Qualifications:

    • Master's degree or doctorate in Physical Therapy
    • Active Physical Therapistlicense in New York
    • Experience working with pediatric populations, preferably in a school or pediatric clinic setting.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
    • Understanding of special education procedures and regulations (preferred but not required).
