enGenius is looking for a highly qualified, experienced, and self-motivated individual to perform the duties of an Access Control/Security Specialist with intimate knowledge of visitor procedures.
The Specialist will support PAC and our government customer at the FBI LAB located on Quantico, VA. This position requires a Top Secret Clearance. Please do not apply if you do not possess that level clearance. This position is part-time.The hour Primary shifts regularly available are:
Friday 10pm Saturday 10amSaturday 10am Saturday 10pmSaturday 10pm Sunday 10amSunday 10am Sunday 10pmOpportunities to pick up additional 8-hour shifts Sunday through Thursday and Monday through Friday will be available as needed.
Part Time Access Control Security Specialists (AC/SS) must be flexible and willing to alternate his or her schedule in order to staff any of the escort desks during the designated working hours.
The Contractors may be required to shift their schedule or report to an alternate location without significant advance notice.Demonstrating cooperation and flexibility when directed to staff an alternate escort desk during any of the identified work hours is absolutely necessary.
Prior to each month, the Part time AC/SS must coordinate their availability with the scheduler to volunteer for and work the assigned shifts for the following month.
Contractors shall be required to use the FBI access control databases, including the FBI's Phoenix and the SOPU Gatekeeper visitor database.
Conduct Scattered Castles and/or JPAS verifications as requested.Personnel shall be responsible for processing incoming Visitor Access Requests (VAR) and for entering the information into the appropriate database.
Must coordinate VAR information with the appropriate FBI Security Division personnel. Must process and coordinate foreign visitors access to OTD facilities.Prepare electronic communications (ECs) in Sentinel as required.
Shall be responsible for FBI OTD outgoing clearance transfer procedures, obtain proxy access, and assist as necessary.
Shall process FBI Limited Access Request (LAR) paperwork, including coordinating approvals/denials with the FBI Security Division, notifying the OTD point-of-contact, entering details into the database, and preparing associated EC.Shall issue badges and IDs in accordance with policy and utilize the badge system as directed.
Personnel shall be responsible for the screening of visitors with an X-ray machine and a metal detector. They shall complete all trainings required/provided by the customer to insure proper handling of this equipment.Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesMust possess final Top-Secret personnel security clearance.
Minimum education required is a bachelors degree in any field and three (3) years security experience in relevant fields, such as industrial security, physical security and computer/network security OR a minimum of five (5) years of experience in any security related field.
Must be skilled in creating complex spreadsheets (i.e. Excel, etc.), in preparing briefings (i.e. PowerPoint, etc.), Word, and Adobe Acrobat.Must be able to communicate clearly; must be able to provide security briefings and debriefings; must be able to provide comprehensive written communications.
Must perform all duties in an extremely professional, customer-service oriented manner.Working Environment & Conditions This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate.
The incumbent is required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.
The workload may require the incumbent to stand for extended periods of time. The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
