    Senior Email Marketing Specialist

    Reports to:
    Manager, Email Marketing


    JOB SUMMARY:
    The Senior Email Marketing Specialist is responsible for building, editing, testing and launching
    The Senior Email Marketing Specialist will take externally or internally produced HTML and
    images, and build emails in Oracle Responsys/appropriate email platform. The future associate
    will be responsible for creating, modifying, and sending proofs for approval as well as working
    with the Digital Marketing Team to ensure quality of work and completion of approval for all
    deployments. The Senior Email Specialist will have the ability to set up and automate email
    programs/triggers and perform tasks necessary to ensure deliverability.
    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be
    assigned.
    Marketing Emails
    . Follow the deployment schedule and set timeline expectations ensuring that
    deployments are in alignment with company needs, expectations, and goals
    . Execute email campaigns, including, but not limited to, conducting A/B testing, audience
    segmentation, scheduling deliveries and designing automated trigger logic
    . Ensure high quality and error free implementation, testing and QA of email marketing
    campaigns
    . Provide QA support to specialist to ensure accuracy of email functionality, rendering and
    tracking
    . Execute email data integrity exercises including email verification of new lists and
    managing soft bounces
    . Manages production lists, seed lists, and proof lists for deployments based on client
    provided specs
    eCommerce Transactional Emails
    . Provide support of the transactional (triggered) email campaigns including new projects
    that require working with a 3rd party
    . Direct the setup of API calls and XML feeds via the Responsys interface
    . Set-up of inbound and outbound data feeds in Responsys/appropriate tool
    . Build, manage and maintain Responsys landing pages and forms
    . Work with Responsys support to monitor deliverability, get blockages removed
    . Work closely with Digital Marketing and Digital Creative groups on email campaign
    execution, provide guidance on email best practices
    . Collaborate closely with the other members of the email team to work synergistically
    . Maintain a strong working relationship with key members of the Marketing team to most
    strategically execute the email component of omnichannel campaigns, including
    agreement on objectives, audiences and messaging
    . Maintain a strong working relationship with the Digital Project Manager and Digital
    Creative team to work collectively toward deadlines and resolve edits and issues in a
    timely manner
    . Coach and mentor junior-level staff and interns
    Trends & Reporting
    . Develop reporting criteria in collaboration with Marketing and/or stakeholders and the
    Digital Analytics teams and regularly analyze the outputs and provide recommendations
    . Provide reporting support within the team to demonstrate the email channel's value
    . Ensure successful tool configuration and consider adaptation of all product releases
    . Document, train and communicate tool capabilities internally
    . Stay up-to-date on CAN-SPAM/GDPR laws

    REQUIREMENTS:
    . 3+ Years Professional Experience
    . At least 2 years experience actively working within Responsys or 3 years' experience in
    another email platform tool
    required
    . Working knowledge of advanced AND/OR logic and database querying such as SQL
    . Working knowledge of Email Marketing best practices, the ability to identify current
    industry trends and speak to email best practices regarding deliverability, user
    experience, US CAN-SPAM requirements
    . Knowledge of data flow concepts and strong data analysis skills required
    . Understanding of File Transfer Protocols and web design concepts
    . Experience using Adobe Analytics
    . Experience pulling metrics & providing regular reporting as necessary
