    **Position Purpose:**

    Under general supervision and direction via a remote office location, the Technical Care Specialist provides customer service and resolves basic technical issues for internet and telephone service customers in a professional, courteous, and efficient manner.

    **Essential Responsibilities:**

    Troubleshoots customers technical problems with internet services including, but not limited to, modems/routing, internet connection, wireless service, and setting up email accounts.

    Provides excellent customer service and consistently exhibits strong communication skills.

    Diagnoses customers technical problems with telephone services.

    Assess when a Service Technician is needed and send Technicians to customer address as required.

    Provides accurate, prompt, and consistent resolution to technical problems by following Standard Operating Procedures.

    Creates and notates service tickets for every call.

    Assists residential email/internet customers via remote-desktop software.

    **Qualifications**

    **Education and Experience:**

    High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Associates degree (A.A.) preferred.

    Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

    Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

    **Other skills and Abilities:**

    Intermediate experience working with Microsoft Office applications, Outlook, Windows XP/Vista/7/8, and Macintosh operating systems.

    Knowledge of tablet, smartphone, laptop and desktop functionality.

    Ability to remain courteous and patient during all customer transactions.

    Ability to work independently in a home office environment.

    Home office must meet work-from-home standards and must be located in Colorado.

    **Physical Demands:**

    While performing the duties of this job, the associate is frequently required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; talk and hear.

    The associate is regularly required to reach with hands and arms and occasionally required to walk; stand.

    The associate is occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.

    Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
