    Description
    Job Purpose
    Supports the Director of the Center for Excellence in Peer Education (CEPE) on all administrative and personnel matters. Responsible for the interviewing and hiring of Peer Educators and peer education initiatives. Responsible for scheduling synthesis seminars for First Year Experience (FYE) courses and teaches TEDU-205 for peer educators. Meet with students, tracks first-year student performance, and creates reports as requested.

    Minimum Requirements Bachelors degree and at least 2 years of related experience with student services in a higher education setting.

    Masters degree in counseling, education or related field preferred. Candidates with an equivalent combination of experience and/or education are encouraged to apply.

    Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Working knowledge of peer education theory and principles; experience working directly with peer mentor and first year experience programs; excellent student service and problem solving skills; strong written and oral communication skills; ability to effectively train others; strong interpersonal skills and experience working with diverse populations related to higher education including students, parents, faculty and staff, and the public; knowledge of FERPA student privacy regulations.

    Additional Comments Regarding Position May be required to work some weekends, early mornings, or evening hours. Some overnight travel may be required. Special Instructions to Applicants Please complete the application to include all current and previous work history and education.
