    A Brief Overview

    As an Outside Sales Specialist, you will play a vital role in driving new sales and enhancing our company's profitability. You will nurture existing accounts while actively seeking new business through effective cold calling and lead follow-up.

    Pay Rate: $40K base + commission, with overall earning potential from $100K to $200K.

    What You Will Do

    • Promote and secure new business accounts for the company.
    • Ensure existing customers receive the best products and support tailored to their needs.
    • Provide expert assistance in product selection based on customer requirements.
    • Prepare and communicate accurate price quotations, terms of sale, delivery timelines, and service commitments.
    • Quickly resolve customer inquiries or issues.
    • Support the collection of accounts receivable.
    • Coordinate project timelines, contractor schedules, and delivery logistics.
    • Manage orders with precision as required.
    • Stay informed about competitive pricing, products, and market information.
    • Maintain awareness of sales performance and alignment with budgetary goals.
    • Research and procure special products as needed.
    • Estimate materials based on customer or contractor blueprints.
    • Adhere to any Conflict of Interest or Non-Compete agreements in force.
    • Comply with the company attendance policy by maintaining regular attendance.

    • Commit to a safe workplace by adhering to safety protocols.

    Education Qualifications

    • High School Diploma or GED is required.

    Experience Qualifications

    • A minimum of 3 years of sales experience in building materials or a related field is required.

    Skills and Abilities

    • Strong understanding of the building materials industry and adept at negotiating deals.
    • Proficient in estimating from blueprints and using a calculator and computer.
    • Possess a strategic mindset, identifying future possibilities and developing innovative strategies.
    • Effectively plan and prioritize tasks to align with organizational goals.
    • Utilize business insight to further the organization's objectives.
    • Collaborate with others to achieve common goals.
    • Communicate effectively across various platforms to meet the unique needs of different audiences.
    • Ability to navigate yards, plants, and office environments.

    Licenses and Certifications

    • Valid and in-state Driver's License required upon hire.

    Travel Requirements

    • Willingness to travel up to 50%.
