    Salary

    $60,000 - $80,000 per year

    The salary for this position is competitive and based on experience.

    Job Description

    As a Fine Dining Security Host/Hostess, your primary responsibility will be to create a safe and secure environment that allows our guests, staff, and vendors to enjoy the best-in-class fine dining experience at Casa Madera. You will be responsible for:

    • Performing protective and enforcement functions in a courteous and professional manner while dealing with emergencies, undesired conduct, disturbances, threats to life and property;
    • Conducting interior and exterior restaurant patrol to identify undesirable conditions;
    • Evaluating situations and making logical decisions on how to proceed while maintaining a calm demeanor;
    • Investigating incidents, including evaluating the scene, interviewing complainants and witnesses, and involving correct personnel to assist with the investigation;
    • Documentation and report writing;
    • Maintaining order in the restaurant while attending to the needs of our guests, staff members, and vendors;
    • Assisting in safety controls for performance aspects taking place inside the venue;
    • Coordinating expedient response to emergency conditions such as fire alarms, safety hazards, and threats to life and/or property in a calm, rational, persuasive manner;
    • Handling violations of restaurant policy, civil laws, and undesired conduct;

    Responsibilities may also include responding to security and emergency situations, providing key assistance, providing accurate information to guests, staff, and vendors, receiving, recording, and securing found property, escorting staff and guests, and performing other duties as assigned.

    Requirements

    To be considered for this role, you must:

    • Be at least 21 years of age;
    • Hold valid state security credentials/licenses;
    • Possess excellent communication skills;
    • Present a well-groomed appearance;
    • Have two years of experience in a position with direct guest contact;
    • Possess strong verbal, written, and technology skills;
    • Have keyboarding skills of 25 WPM;
    • Demonstrate investigation skills;
    • Be able to perform general clerical duties using Microsoft Office and other site-specific programs;
    • Be able to work and stand inside and outside, sometimes in excessive heat or cold (depending on location);
    • Maintain strong observation skills with an elevated level of detail and scrutiny for the entire shift;
    • Be able to work independently;
    • Be able to lift and carry up to 60 lbs. and push or pull up to 150 lbs.;

    Preferred qualifications include an associate degree or higher, experience as a first responder, hospitality security guard/officer experience, high-end customer service experience, successfully completed basic training in the military, loss prevention and/or plain clothes operatives experience, high-pressure situational experience such as emergency medical technician, firefighter, flight attendant, and high school diploma or equivalent.

    Full availability is required seven (7) days per week, including evenings, overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays.
