Description

The Solution Architect/Security Analyst:

Supports the system architecture, communication/data streams, and security of applications in assigned area of responsibility.
Designs business processes and innovation change initiatives in partnership with the relevant local, global and/or central business departments with great autonomy.
Facilitates delivery of IT services to process partners in assigned area of responsibility.
Ensures strategic alignment with BMW Group core IT processes.
Establishes strong partnerships with both business and IT process partners which culminates into the delivery of sustainable solutions to complex problems.
Assists BMW Colleagues continuously through direct communications and project results.
Supports agreements with business and support functions in assigned area of responsibility.
Completes assignments with minimal direct supervision. Identifies and defines computer system security requirements in coordination with DevOps teams.
Steers efforts to communicate guidelines and regulations related to group approved methods for data communication, architecture, and security.
Engages with central and local teams to clarify and reinforce target measurables and impact of risks, vulnerabilities, and effort of remediation related to system architecture and security.
Ensures practical application of security concepts and utilizes appropriate authentication schemes in the overall solution architecture.
Guides the implementation of development services, utilizing the Agile methodology to develop product solutions and application support structures for on premise and cloud delivery offerings in assigned area of responsibility.
Analyzes existing and future planned initiatives, short, mid, and long- term planning with prioritization of requirements based on local and BMW Group strategy
Prepares, facilitates, and sustains the local business prioritization process and the input to the global prioritization process.
Ensures effective systems change control, problem management, and incident management; thereby reducing risk, ensuring quality, and business continuity.
Ensures the integrity, reliability, and reproduction of our internally and externally developed software products.
Proactively ensures the IT security and compliance of both planned systems as well as existing systems under operational control in assigned area.
Develops and manages project plans to include defining deliverables, budget adherence, key milestones and critical paths.
Reports and manages risks as well as progress of Lead Sagas, Sagas, Epics and User Stories in assigned area of responsibility.
Participates in efforts to design, develop, train, and deploy systems and procedures for assigned area of responsibility.
Ensures target achievement is consistently attained in assigned area.
Ensures that all aspects of information protection, data, and systems security pertaining to area of responsibility adhere to BMW Group Policies and architectures.
Promotes the use of standard processes and solutions within assigned area of responsibility.
Promotes and facilitates the use of the Agile methodology for all initiatives and tasks in assigned area of responsibility.
Understands and models VPS (Value Added Production System) Principles and concepts of Standard Work and Problem Solving.
Adheres to 5S and Safety Standards and Principles.
Performs other duties as assigned by management.

BA/BS degree in Business, Information Technology, or the equivalent of 4 years or equivalent success in an IT related function.
3+ years of demonstrated success in IT or equivalent success in an IT related function.
2+ years' experience in a mid-level engineering role.
2+ years of experience planning, analyzing, designing, developing, testing, implementing, operating, documenting and training of enterprise
IT applications.
2+ years of experience in implementing/configuring IT systems.
2+ years of experience working in a customer service orientated environment.
2+ years of experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
2+ years of experience with a variety of programming languages (preferably C/ C++, Python, JAVA, HTML, JSP, J2EE, Abap, SAPUI5/Fiori,
SQL, Oracle, UNIX/LINUX).
2+ years of experience designing enterprise architectures with both on- premise environments (SharePoint, etc) and cloud environment (Azure,AWS, Openstack) preferred.
2+ years knowledge of IT Infrastructure components including but not limited to; Operating Systems, Networks, Databases, Internet
Tchnologies, etc.
1+ years in IT Security Architecture.
1+ years working in Agile projects(preferred).
