Job DescriptionThe primary responsibilities of Core Faculty are direct teaching activities.

Core Faculty are responsible for planning, organizing, teaching and providing feedback to promote and direct student learning in keeping with Campbellsville University's learning centered values and in a manner that meets the essential competencies of a Campbellsville University educator.

Core Faculty responds to students in a timely manner and communicates with the discipline and division via institute-provided tools and resources.

In addition, Core Faculty are responsible for indirect instruction and institutional service as described below.

Core Faculty are responsible:

to coordinate, plan, organize, and instruct courses on the day, evening, or on weekends as assigned;
to keep current at a high level of expertise in the subjects taught and stimulate enthusiasm for those subjects;
to prepare and deliver instructions to students in the assigned disciplines (including classroom, hybrid, online, etc.).
to ensure that each program/class contains essential curricular components, has appropriate content and pedagogy, and maintains currency;
to teach all classes according to an approved course syllabus;
to keep students informed and updated concerning course content, requirements, evaluation procedures and attendance requirements;
to keep students informed about their progress through the prompt grading of papers and other work;
to maintain accurate and complete grade and attendance records;
to submit Early Warning, Notification of Unofficial Withdrawal, and other documentation when appropriate;
to file an appropriate course syllabus for each course taught with the appropriate Department Chair;
to ensure that assigned classes are held as scheduled;
to participate in program and curriculum review and development and student learning outcomes initiatives;
to study and utilize students' learning styles in each class in order to facilitate the best teaching and learning situations;
to incorporate instructional technologies in instructional delivery;
to assist in recruitment and retention of students;
to serve as an academic advisor to assigned students;
to refer students to the Program Chair or Dean of Students as needed;
to become thoroughly familiar with all Phillips policies and procedures and comply with all those policies and procedures;
to serve on and provide information to department committees as needed. Indirect Instruction Serves as student Academic Advisor. Academic Advisement duties include;
Being available to students by posting and maintaining office hours for student consultations
Mentors and advises students.
Helps students select a course of study,
Develops a remediation plan if advisee has performance difficulties,
To demonstrate a genuine concern for each student through personal conferences and the full use of the faculty advisement system
Provides feedback on student's progress, including evaluation of student mastery of course and program outcomes.
Guides students to integrate professional development activities into their academic and career planning.
Participates in the curriculum development and revision process
Prepares and administers comprehensive exams
Participates in student recruitment activities and the applicant interview process. Institutional Responsibilities
To be actively involved in the co-curricular activities of the Institution
Interfaces and collaborates with the Institution's Administration.
Participates in various committees as needed by the institution.
Participates in institutional events, such as Information Sessions, Placement and Job Fairs, Student Orientation and Commencement.
To attend all faculty meetings, professional development and orientation activities, and other meetings as called by the President, Vice President of Academic Affairs, and Department Chair;
To make suggestions to the Program Chair concerning the improvement of the curriculum in keeping with the objectives of Phillips.
Assists with faculty socialization into the program and Institution.
To recommend textbooks and other instructional materials to Program Chairs;
To keep informed of current trends and new approaches to instruction via professional development activities

Qualifications:
Earned Doctorate (or Ph.
D. abd) from an accredited institution of higher learning.
Demonstrated commitment to the University, it's students, and the MFT profession.

Salary Range:
$50,000-$70,000/ y
