Job Summary

United Production Framing is a residential framing contractor who is seeking an experienced estimator based out of our office in Riverside, CA. This position is estimating all types of construction projects in the southern California market. The ideal candidate should have a strong working knowledge of residential construction methods, systems, and trades in Rough Carpentry.

Responsibilities and Duties

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Perform quality lumber, labor, and hardware take-offs.

• Distribute and interpret plans, specifications, scope of work, and details.

• Produce complete estimates and proposals.

• Develop relationships with material suppliers.

• Work with Project Manager for set up and mobilization of project.

• Interpreting the take-off to the production department.

• Ability to work under strict deadlines and prioritize projects.

• Manage multiple projects simultaneously

• Mentor and improve estimating team

• Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and architects to ensure overall accuracy

• Recommend cost reduction or value engineering suggestions

• Attending pre-bid construction meetings and site visits

Qualifications and Skills

• Recommended 5+ year of experience in construction industry.

• Understanding of construction process and building types

• Strong computer skills

• Knowledge of Microsoft office programs such as Excel and Word.

• Strong prioritization and organizational skills.

• Detail-oriented and strong problem solving skills.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to read and understand building plans and details.

• Strong communication skills.

Desired Skills and Experience

Plan Reading, PlanSwift, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Project Bidding and producing a quality take-off and bid
