    JOB TITLE: Employment Program Manager EFFECTIVE DATE: 1/3/2022

    REPORTS TO: Chief Executive Officer EXEMPT NON-EXEMPT

    Position Summary:

    The Clubhouse Employment Manager is responsible for the support and engagement of members in all aspects of unit and clubhouse operations, according to Clubhouse International philosophy. The position is responsible for professionally interfacing with members, supporting member integration and progress, and building and maintaining relationships with community partners. In collaboration with other staff and members, the Employment Manager will assist Clubhouse members with diagnosed Mental Illnesses to find competitive employment through Employment Partnerships and Vocational Rehabilitation Programs. With the primary objective of assisting members in developing and attaining specific employment, vocational, educational, housing, and social goals. The Employment Manager will act as an advocate for the member with social service agencies and other entities. All Clubhouse staff share employment, housing, evening/weekend/holiday, and other Clubhouse responsibilities.

    Core duties and responsibilities include the following:

    · Provide leadership and guidance to Clubhouse members in a positive manner consistent with the mission, vision, and values of HOPE Clubhouse.

    · Ensures and always maintains confidentiality.

    · Work cooperatively with Clubhouse staff and members to establish and implement unit goals for the Employment aspects of the Work-Ordered Day at HOPE Clubhouse consistent with the needs of persons with mental illnesses, supporting member engagement in unit tasks.

    · Well-versed in Federal, State, and local employment laws and regulations as well as best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment.

    · Meet Clubhouse International's Employment Standards and pass a comprehensive exam.

    · Assess member needs. Provide input to assist with the development of an individual service plan for short- and long-term goals including education, job training, support services, and resources for greater self-determination.

    · Assist members with case management activities when necessary.

    · Documents all employment and case management activities including any direct assistance to or referrals made for members; turned in monthly.

    · Submit all necessary documentation in an accurate and timely manner.

    · Collaborate with companies and community agencies to identify personnel needs, job specifications, and desired employee skills.

    · Develop Partnerships and secure employment opportunities with area businesses, decision-makers, and key officials within the community.

    · Participate in and present at Community Councils, networking events, Chamber meetings, Business Associations, leadership seminars, fund-raising events, job fairs, and other employment or community forums.

    · Create job descriptions with employers capturing the desired skills and qualifications.

    · Develop training and coaching mechanisms for hiring managers and staff in the processes of interviewing and selection in compliance with the U.S. Department of Labor standards.

    · Maintain Employment Placements at or above 30% of Average Daily Attendance.

    · Complete required monthly reports (Employment statistics, Monthly income, Percent working based on daily attendance, etc.).

    · Track and report to Central Florida Behavioral Health Network (CFBHN) employment numbers, days worked, average pay, average yearly income, the number receiving benefits, numbers retired, and weekly work schedules.

    · Assist members with interviews, resume writing, career exploration, and job-search skills.

    · Plan weekly employment meetings and/or roundtable discussions with members addressing up-to-date employment information including individual member progress.

    · Plan monthly employment dinners with member input and offer other socialization opportunities to those who are working, attending school, or searching for employment.

    · Assist with the development and coordination of new member orientations. Lead or participate when needed.

    · Lead and or work alongside members on tasks in the Employment unit or other areas of the Clubhouse.

    · Assist with the development interpretation and recommendation of appropriate policies and procedures.

    · Leads, attends, and/or participates in morning meetings, house meetings, and unit meetings.

    · Participate in International Clubhouse Colleague Training in the Clubhouse Model, as scheduled by Clubhouse leadership.

    · Demonstrates openness and flexibility in adapting to organizational changes.

    · Meet all agency, program, contract, and grant policies, reporting schedules, and budgets.

    · Participates in activities both within HOPE Clubhouse and the community to increase awareness about the Clubhouse and build community relationships.

    · Provide Clubhouse leadership in the absence of the CEO and/or Office Director.

    · Perform other related duties as assigned.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Business Unit staff, Members, volunteers, students, or interns

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

    Master's degree in Vocational Rehabilitation, Public Administration, Economic Development or closely related field Preferred. OR Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 3 years human resources, vocational rehabilitation or other employment specific experience. OR Associate's degree in related field and a minimum of 5 years qualifying experience. Must obtain a vocational rehabilitation employment specialist certification within 6 months of employment.

    LANGUAGE SKILLS:

    Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine correspondence, reports, business correspondence, and a variety of "how-to" documents. Ability to speak effectively before groups of members or employees of other organizations. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

    Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumferences, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic accounting.

    REASONING ABILITY:

    Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

    COMPUTER SKILLS:

    "Microsoft Office", database software, employment applicant tracking/talent acquisition software, internet navigation, remote delivery (Zoom, Skype, etc.) and standard office equipment skills required; Digital Design experience (ex: publisher or Canva) preferred.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

    Ability to stand/walk/sit/use hands to finger, handle or feel/reach with hands and arms/climb or balance/stoop, kneel, crouch, and ability to lift up to 25 pounds. No special vision requirements.

    SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (Certificates, Licenses, Skills, Special Machines):

    Must have dependable transportation, valid Florida Driver's License, and Insurance, a clean driving record, and be able to pass a level 2 background check.
