- Design, develop and maintain data models and schemas for reporting requirements.
- Building and optimizing ETL pipelines and designs to improve performance.
- Optimize data infrastructure, pipelines, and processing workflows for system performance.
- Integrate internal and external data while working with teams to ensure successful integration.
- Work closely with teams to understand data and integrate the data from different sources for visualization to ensure integration is successful.
- Perform quality checks and find root-cause of problems and issue resolutions.
- Minimum experience or 10 years experience.
- 4+ years experience working a cloud reporting tool- Snowflake (preferred) BigQuery, AWS or Azure.
- 6+ years experience of development in Python and SQL, while building and optimizing ETL pipelines.
- Experience with SAP ERP as a major data source required
- Hands-on experience building and developing cloud data warehouse solutions
- Working experience with data visualization tools: PowerBI (preferred) or Tableau.

About the Company
Our client company is one of the most famous manufacturers of outdoor equipment, with a well-known brand dating back over 40 years. With locations around the world, and several major projects underway, they are growing their internal IT team at record-breaking speed. With the recent release of several new and groundbreaking products, they are in the middle of a digital transformation with countless long-term projects underway and set to kick off in 2024.
They are searching for a full-time Sr. Data and Reporting Engineer to join them right away as this company is looking to move their most important technical resources in-house after having been contracted out to 3rd party partners. This Sr. Data and Reporting Engineer will spearhead the development of an enterprise data warehouse platform, collaborating closely with key stakeholders to drive the organization's continuous growth.
This is a highly visible direct hire role that the business cannot do without. The right person for this role will be highly experienced with driving the design, code and maintenance of data engineering standards working in a collaborative setting and must have the ability to travel to their Arlington Heights office 3 days per week to work closely with business stakeholders.
