    Description

    The Associate Chief Academic Officer (Associate CAO) serves as a key liaison between medical staff and academic leadership. Their responsibilities include overseeing the administrative and academic structure, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements for Graduate Medical Education (GME), and maintaining a culture of learning aligned with the mission of AdventHealth.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Provide guidance and oversight to GME Program Directors and Faculty, fostering a collaborative environment that supports academic excellence.
    2. Develop and advocate for policies that promote a culture of learning, adhering to the principles of AdventHealth's mission.
    3. Maintain expertise on and ensure compliance with all relevant GME Department and Human Resources policies and standard operating procedures.
    4. Review and obtain site approval for annual operating and capital budgets, ensuring effective resource allocation for assigned programs.
    5. Ensure adequate protected time is allocated to program directors and faculty, enabling them to fulfill educational, administrative, and leadership responsibilities effectively.
    6. Collaborate promptly with the sponsoring institution and accreditation bodies, acting as the Designated Institutional Official (DIO) designee for official ACGME business as necessary.
    7. Meet with Program Directors and Associate Program Directors to address program, site, or trainee issues, and faculty concerns related to academic operations and the learning environment, reporting information as required to the CAO/DIO and GMEC.

    Requirements:

    Board Certification and Florida License are mandatory. Prior experience as a Program Director is highly desirable.
