IDEXX is looking for an experienced Embedded DevOps Engineer to join our DevSecOps team .In this role, you will be working with embedded Linux software teams and have responsibility for designing, building and maintaining efficient and secure cloud-based CI/CD workflows for Linux operating systems and embedded applications.
As part of R&D, you will continually investigate and learn new tools and technologies.In This Role:
Security focused. Considers security in all aspects of solution design and implementation. Looks for opportunities to identify and address security risks in existing workflows and products
Works collaboratively to research, design, implement, deploy and operate systems. Oversees code releases and improves planning of test and deployment
Automates software deployment processes by developing tools and releasing incremental updates
Identifies , troubleshoots, and resolves issues in development, test, and production environments and processes. Coordinates and collaborates to increase effectiveness
Supports multiple platforms . Handles issues, providing guidance and recommendations to increase efficiency and reduce incidents . Develops tooling and processes and creates playbooks to drive and improve overall productivity and effectiveness
Increases system responsiveness and monitors application performance by anticipating and correcting operational issues before their occurrence
Refines operating environments by continuously improving the infrastructure to be easily deployable and scalable
Individual contributor/technical lead on medium to complex projects.
Provides direction and communicates with customers to ensure business needs are met
Facilitates and delivers solutions consistent with business rules, methodologies and standards
Offers solutions to technological problems
Possesses deep technical breadth and depth
Troubleshoots complex problems independently
What you will need to Succeed :
Typically, around 4-6 years' DevOps experience with some Embedded exposure
Embedded Software experience
Embedded Linux experience
Terraform, Python, C, C++ experience
Proficient in "Infrastructure as Code" concepts
A bachelors d egree or equivalent combination of education and experience is excellent, but we love to see anyone with Embedded DevOps experience, so don't be shy
Ability to use a variety of open-source technologies and cloud services
Working understanding of coding and scripting; flexibility to respond to ongoing, ever-changing processes
Knowledge of application and system architectures
Has demonstrated ability in agile methodology , development processes, programming languages, software development lifecycle and various automation tools
