The Diagnostic Medical Sonographer performs ultrasound tests for patients as part of a comprehensive healthcare team. Key responsibilities include preparing patients for examination, explaining procedures, conducting diagnostic tests, and assisting physicians during invasive procedures.
This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, along with certification from an accredited sonography program. A minimum of six months' experience as an ultrasound technician in OB/GYN and/or MFM settings is preferred.
