    Louis region.

    Duties & Responsibilities


    • Capable of teaching up to two classes per semester (fall, spring, summer).
    • Design and develop curriculum and instruction and class management strategies for all courses, including syllabi and lesson plans.
    • Assess the students' learning outcome for all courses thought bases on the school and its programs' set goals and objectives.
    • Review periodically and assure curriculum and instruction of courses are relevant and up to date.
    • Review and become proficient with the My HSSU E-Learning Management Systems.
    • Utilize innovative teaching and technology approach to teaching.
    • Develop faculty goals and objectives and annual report for every academic year.
    • Make sure students' attendance and grades are turned in on-time.
    • Adhere to the university faculty handbook.
    Minimum Education and Experience


    • A Master's Degree in Criminal Justice or closely related discipline
    • Excellent written and verbal communications
    • Ability to critically and solve problems independently
    • Ability to be organized and work on multiple tasks simultaneously
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CX Jenzabar, Canvas, CAMS or a similar platform
    • The ideal candidate should be familiar with both online and on-campus teaching methods

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.
    D.) or Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.


    • Teaching experience in a community college or similar program or equivalent documented experience teaching occupational-technical programs is preferred.
    • Experience in developing and designing innovative curriculum and delivery is desired.
    • A track record of excellence in teaching to a diverse undergraduate student body is greatly appreciated.
