Description
JOB DESCRIPTIONDescription:
•Perform routine grain testing procedures in an accurate and timely manner
•Record and compile test results to prepare graphs, charts and reports as required and requested by management
•Communicate results to internal/external customers via COA's, verbal or written documentation
•Provide independent oversight of processes, verifying compliance to company standards and policies and effectively communicating deviations from the standard(s) to Lab Tech and management
•Receive and document external testing results
•Conduct routine quality control testing and maintain accurate records of quality assurance activities
•Actively participate in quality, food safety and safety programs
•Support QFS Manager
•Verify sufficient inventory of testing supplies and maintain the cleanliness of the laboratory environment
•Must be willing to stay over 4 hours or come in 4 hours early to cover for coworker absences
•Must be willing to work 2nd shift and weekends
•Prefer familiarity with lab instrumentation, but not required
•Must be able to work independently
•Must follow instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job
•Position requires the ability to be on your feet for extended periods of time
•High school diploma or equivalent preferred
•Computer skills and competency in Excel ad Word are preferred
•Must have a demonstrated history of safe work behavior and a sincere desire to follow and improve upon safety policies and procedures (previous safety committee and/or other safety leadership experience is a plus)
