    Job Description:

    A dedicated Medical Assistant plays a crucial role in providing care to patients in an ambulatory clinic environment. They will be responsible for drawing blood and collecting other specimens while also supporting patients with a range of acute and chronic health needs.

    This position requires clear communication with patients, whether through phone calls or face-to-face interactions.

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide Patient Care: Assist providers in gathering relevant information regarding patients' visits and conditions under clinician supervision.
    • Ensure Effective Communication: Clearly communicate with patients through various methods, fostering understanding and efficient care.
    • Collaborate with the Team: Work closely with cross-functional teams, paying attention to detail and ensuring follow-through in patient care.

    Requirements:

    • Current Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers, obtained before the start date.
    • Successful completion of a Medical Assistant Program or at least one year of relevant work experience, or a current active RN/LPN license in good standing.
    • Basic computer skills for word processing and data entry.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively with patients and healthcare teams for optimal patient satisfaction.
    • Commitment to maintaining patient privacy and confidentiality.

    This role requires regular interaction with patients and healthcare team members, necessitating good verbal communication skills and the ability to swiftly handle emergency situations. Manual dexterity is required to operate medical equipment accurately. The physical demands include lifting supplies and equipment, assisting with patient transfers, and navigating busy clinical environments.

    The hourly pay for this role ranges from $19.20 to $27.35, depending on experience.
