    Position Overview:


    The Medical Director for Experience of Care participates as a key member of the organization's Leadership Team to develop, implement, and sustain the Experience of Care strategy for the system.

    This role advises the Chief Physician Executive in organizational development of and maintenance of integrated experience of care initiatives and operational alignment.

    The System Medical Director promotes and fosters an atmosphere of compassion, teamwork, excellence, and patients first across all areas and disciplines within the organization.

    This physician overseas all coaching, education, and training of physicians and advanced practice clinicians and their support teams, as it relates to improving experience of care, and partners with physician leaders and senior leaders for effective implementation and execution of organizational experience of care strategies.


    Job Description :


    The person hired for this role will work out of our Emeryville office and support the Greater SF, Greater East Bay and Greater Silicon Valley Markets.

    Candidate must live a commutable distance from these markets and will work on site as needed.


    EDUCATION:
    Doctorate


    TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:
    6 years recent relevant experience


    CERTIFICATION &
    LICENSURE:
    MD-Doctor of Medicine M.D. or D.O. Degree with Post Graduate training in Occupational Medicine
    DO- Doctor of Osteopathy M.D. or D.O. Degree with Post Graduate training in Occupational Medicine
    MRO Certification Physician MRO-Medical Review Officer within 6 months of hire


    SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

    • Knowledge of treatment and prevention of disease.
    • Good rapport, able to build trust with patients
    • Ability to retain primary treating physician status
    • Ability to oversee and influence cases that are referred to specialist(s)
    • Ability to assess permanent disability under AMA and write PR-4's
    • Ability to close cases with the patient when additional treatment is not beneficial
    • Ability to effectively collaborate with other staff.

    Pay Range is $147.49 to $235.99 / hour
