    Job Title: Private Events Manager

    Job Summary: Mauryas Bar & Restaurant is a fine dining restaurant located in the premier Princeton Forestal Village ,Princeton NJ.We're in search of a dynamic Private Events Manager to bolster our team. This role demands adept organization, sales prowess, and a fervent dedication to delivering unparalleled experiences. Collaborating closely with our Events Director and team, the ideal candidate will spearhead the promotion, sale, and execution of corporate dining events in the Princeton, NJ locale.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Drive the promotion and sale of corporate dining events to diverse corporate clienteles in Princeton, NJ.
    • Strategize to optimize event revenue by suggesting menu upgrades and liaising with clients on menu selections.
    • Provide pivotal support to the events department in managing inbound event inquiries.
    • Oversee all administrative aspects of events, from initial inquiry to closure, including contract negotiation, payment processing, floor plan development, and logistical coordination.
    • Generate and maintain meticulous records of event-related documents such as menu cards, event particulars, itemized bills, and client correspondence.
    • Conduct onsite visits with clients to ensure utmost satisfaction and address any eleventh-hour requests.
    • Prepare comprehensive documents for staff review during event preshifts.

    Qualifications:

    • At least three years of hands-on experience in events or catering sales, preferably within the upscale dining sector.
    • Demonstrable success in generating a minimum of $2 million in event revenue.
    • Proficient in sales techniques and negotiation strategies.
    • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, coupled with an acute understanding of client needs and effective communication.
    • Ability to juggle multiple tasks and prioritize in a high-octane environment.
    • Comprehensive understanding of kitchen operations, culinary practices, restaurant logistics, and banquet management.
    • Flexibility in schedule, including availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessitated by business demands.
