    Job Description Kratos Defense & Rocket Support Services is currently seeking a Systems Engineer -Journeyman Engineer/Scientist to support The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) Electromagnetic and Sensor Systems Department (B Department) through their Radar Systems Division B40 support multiple Navy and Marine Corps Radar Systems
    B40 provides Sensor Systems expertise across the entire acquisition lifecycle from concept exploration through sustainment of Navy and Marine Corps Radar Systems

    The successful candidate shall:

    • Provide engineering and technical support services to support NSWCDD at the warfare center, test facilities, Contractor facilities, and in the field.
    • Participate in Engineering Technical Reviews (ETRs), In-Process Reviews (IPRs), Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs) and Change Review Boards/Configuration Control Boards (CRBs/CCBs).
    • Support customer efforts to prepare for System Requirements Review (SRR) and other System Engineering Technical Review (SETR) events by assisting in the development of artifacts required for each review including Design Disclosures (DD), Primary Design Review, Critical Design Review, In-process review, and other Milestone Design and Decision/Programmatic Meetings.
    • Conduct radar performance assessments including engagement support, review original equipment manufacturer (OEM) artifacts and verification of system functionality including verification of Technical Performance Measures, Electronic Attack/Electronic Protection, and clutter performance.

    Experience and Skills Successful candidate must have the following:


    • Bachelor's degree from a school of engineering with at least one curriculum accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) as a professional engineering curriculum in one of the following fields: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineer, Electronics Engineering; or
    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in one of the following fields of study: Mathematics, Computer Science, or Physics; or
    • Master's degree from an accredited college or university in one of the following fields of study: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineer, Electronics Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Physics; or
    • Ph.
    D degree from an accredited college or university in one of the following fields of study:
    Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineer, Electronics Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Physics.

    • Must have active DoD Secret clearance.
    • U.S
    Citizen.

    • Prior experience with Radar weapons systems

    General Experience:

    • Minimum four years if Candidate has a Bachelor's degree; or
    • Minimum two years if Candidate has a Master 's degree Specialized Experience: • Demonstrated experience and ability to perform detailed and complex calculations and knowledge of practices/principles necessary to assess advanced radar systems concepts, assess specifications and perform system integration
