    Position: RN -Med/Surg
    Location: New York, NY 10037
    Duration: 13 Weeks
    Client Name: Harlem Hospital Center

    Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (7:30 PM-8:00 AM)

    Job Responsibilities:
    • -Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans in consultation with healthcare professionals.
    • -Evaluating medical information, as well as providing direct and individualized bedside nursing care to pre-and post-surgery patients.
    • -Preparing, administering and recording prescribed medications.
    • -Changing dressings, inserting catheters, and starting IVs.
    • -Adjusting specialized medical equipment as needed, as well as interpreting and recording measurements.
    • -Monitoring patients' vitals and reporting adverse reactions to medications in a timely manner.
    • -Collaborating on discharge planning with the healthcare team.
    • -Answering questions and educating patients and their families on surgical procedures and post-surgery care.
    • -Maintaining and updating patient files, medical charts, and health records.
    • -Adhering to best nursing practices, standards, and protocols.

    Required Skills & Experience:
    • -Acute Facilities: Minimum two (2) years Med/Surg experience in a large acute care hospital setting. The most recent experience should be within the past year.
    • -Post Acute Facilities: Minimum two (2) years Med/Surg experience in either Post Acute Facility or acute care hospital setting. The most recent experience should be within the past year.
    • -Physical assessment.
    • -Medication administration.
    • -Wound care & Infection control
    • -IV therapy.
    • -Post-operative care.
    • -Patient education.
    • -Telemetry monitoring.
    • Preferred Skills & Experience:
    • -EPIC EMR experience.
    Hourly Breakdown Total Hourly Pay Rate: $ Per Hour On W2(Taxable): $ Per Hour Stipend(Non-Taxable): $ Per Hour Weekly Breakdown: Weekly Gross: $ 2, Per Week On W2(Taxable): $ Per Week Stipend(Non-Taxable): $ 1, Per Week OT Rate ON W $ Per Hour Hours per week: $ Hours
