    Job Responsibilities

    Tri-County Technical College invites applicants to the role of Adjunct Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Instructor. We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Instructor to join our team and deliver high-quality instruction for our non-credit CNC programs at the Pickens County Career and Technology Center. As an Adjunct Instructor, you will be responsible for providing engaging and practical lessons, equipping students with the essential knowledge and skills to succeed in the field of CNC Machine Operator. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in CNC and Manual Machining, a dedication to teaching, and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment for all students.

    Job Functions:
    • Course Instruction: Develop and deliver comprehensive and hands-on CNC courses for non-credit programs, covering topics such Safety, setup, blueprint reading, math and machine operations.
    • Curriculum Development: Collaborate with the program coordinator and instructional team to create and update course materials, syllabi, lesson plans, and assessments, ensuring they align with industry standards and the learning objectives of the non-credit programs.
    • Classroom Management: Maintain a well-organized, safe, and inclusive learning environment that encourages active participation, fosters student engagement, and supports diverse learning styles.
    • Practical Demonstrations: Conduct practical demonstrations and laboratory sessions, allowing students to gain hands-on experience with CNC equipment, tools, and hardware.
    • Skill Assessment: Administer and grade student assessments, projects, and examinations to evaluate their progress and provide constructive feedback for improvement.
    • Industry Relevance: Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in Maintenance and Reliability technology and industry practices to incorporate relevant content into the curriculum.
    • Program Promotion: Assist in promoting non-credit CNC programs by participating in marketing events, open houses, and networking activities.
    Minimum and Additional Requirements

    Education: An Associates Degree in a Machine Tool Technology or related field or equivalent industry experience in the desired technical field.
    Experience: 5-10 years of practical experience in Machine Tool or CNC education. Teaching experience, especially in a non-credit or adult vocational setting, is imperative.
    Technical Skills: Proficiency in all aspects of Haas, Lynx or other various CNC machines.
    Communication: Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in a clear and understandable manner.
    Passion for Teaching: A genuine passion for teaching and inspiring students to pursue careers in CNC machine operations or related fields.
    Adaptability: Flexibility in adapting instructional approaches to cater to the diverse learning needs and backgrounds of students.
    Collaboration: Strong team player with the ability to collaborate effectively with program coordinators, fellow instructors, and support staff.
    Safety Awareness: Committed to maintaining a safe and secure learning environment, adhering to all relevant safety protocols and guidelines.
    Industry Connections: Existing connections with local industries and employers can be an asset for potential industry partnerships and job placement opportunities for students.
