    The Environmental Safety and Health Manager is responsible for planning, implementing, and enforcing the company's Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies and procedures.

    This position is based at the manufacturing site in Moore, SC and supports the corporate office, warehouse and machine operation in Pendergrass, GA.

    20% travel required.

    The EHS Manager leads workplace safety and healthy programs, ensuring compliance with OSHA standards; trains employees on proper procedures to avoid accidents or injuries; oversees the company's environmental management system, and establishes protocol for handling hazardous emergencies.


    Duties/Responsibilities:

    Regulatory Compliance


    • Stays abreast of local, state, and federal regulations pertaining to environmental, health, and safety.
    • Ensures compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, including OSHA, EPA, and other governing bodies.
    • Develops and maintains procedures to ensure regulatory compliance and facilitates audits.
    • Ensures that material safety data sheets are maintained and readily accessible when needed.

    Risk Assessment and Mitigation


    • Conducts risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implements controls to mitigate risks.
    • Develops and implements safety procedures, policies, and training programs to prevent accidents and injuries.
    • Investigates incidents, near misses, and accidents to identify root causes and implements corrective actions.

    Safety Culture and Training


    • Promotes a culture of safety and environmental responsibility throughout the organization.
    • Facilitates training to employees, contractors, vendors and visitors on safety procedures, hazard recognition, and emergency response protocols.
    • Ensures that safety and environmental considerations are integrated into onboarding and ongoing training programs.
    • Develops health and safety procedures for all areas of the company.
    • Prepares and schedules training to cover emergency procedures, workplace safety, and other relevant topics.
    • Serves as a role model for safe personal practices.

    Qualifications:


    • Extensive knowledge of environmental regulations and policies.

    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    • Proficient in technology and equipment used in environmental inspections.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
    • Ability to travel internationally

    Education and Experience:


    • Bachelor's degree in business, environmental safety, occupational safety and health, or related field preferred.
    • Minimum five years of related experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
    • Experience conducting risk assessments, root cause analysis, incident investigations, and developing safety programs.
    • Demonstrated leadership ability and a track record of driving positive change in safety and environmental performance.

    Physical Requirements:



    • Physically able to conduct inspections and carry equipment used for inspections.
    • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time.
