- Accountable for all materials management functions, warehouse and site logistics operations, site planning and scheduling, and related drug substance and drug product manufacturing support.
- Manages development and implementation of site materials management, warehouse, logistics, and planning processes.
- Authors SOPs to govern Materials Management in coordination with Cartesian's Quality Assurance team.
- Assures compliance with Materials Management procedures.
- Directs warehouse activities including inventory control, shipping, receiving, inter-site transfers, and storage.
- Oversees the site Materials planner(s) to ensure proper procurement of raw materials needed for manufacturing campaigns.
- Ensures timely allocation of critical materials to meet production schedules.
- Directs dispensary operations and maintains safety, quality, training, and compliance standards.
- Directs site scheduling and issuance teams, providing the integrated manufacturing schedule.
- Directs site planning analysts in the development of the site master plan and production risk mitigation strategies.
- Ensures accuracy of ERP and MES systems related to materials management.
- Collaborates with global materials resource planning, Manufacturing, Quality Control, and Finance.
- Directs departmental workflows, workload management, and technical support.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Finance or related field (M.S./MBA preferred).
- 5-7 years of related experience; 3 years of people management experience.
- Knowledge of biopharmaceutical materials and supply chain management.
- Experience in cell therapy supply chain management preferred.
- Strong inventory management and ERP systems knowledge.
- Excellent project management skills.
- Ability to travel for collaboration, support, and training.
