National Partnership Executive
on the Community Engagement (CE) team based in Washington, DC.
Community Engagement (CE), part of Corporate Responsibility (CR)'s Public Engagement team, builds enduring, authentic relationships with key stakeholders to shape the firm's approach to serving clients, customers and communities.
This position will be responsible for leading a team that develops and executes a U.S. national third-party stakeholder engagement strategy grounded in policy and issues that have potential for business and reputational implications.Stakeholders include think tanks, advocacy organizations, civil rights groups and other nonprofits across the political spectrum, with influence on the firm's operating environment, and with the broader goal of advancing the firm's interests.
The Executive will collaborate closely with colleagues from across Public Engagement, including teams leading regional stakeholder engagement strategies, and with colleagues in Corporate Responsibility and firmwide.
Job ResponsibilitiesServe as a subject matter expert on emerging policy developments and work closely with CR colleagues – including those in Global Government Relations, Research, Policy & Insights, and Global Philanthropy – and senior executives across the firm to proactively and reactively address issues with business and reputational implications
Oversee the management of an approximately $20MM grant portfolio in service of building relationships with key stakeholders, furthering two-way dialogue and advancing the firm's interests
Sustain deep, substantive relationships with key community influencers, including think tanks, advocates, policy organizations and other nonprofits
Manage a small team of experienced professionals
Oversee the firm's activation of events and conferences with the goal of telling the firm's story while demonstrating its commitment to stakeholders and critical issues
Design and host signature forums and events to promote dialogue between senior executives and key stakeholders
Represent the firm through speaking engagements, to internal and external audiences
Support the broader Community Engagement strategy in partnership with peers and colleagues working in local markets across the United States
Required Qualifications, Capabilities And Skills
15+ years' related work experience and deep subject matter expertise in, consumer policy and financial regulation, financial services, and/or community/economic development
Experience directing and executing stakeholder engagement strategies
Ability to represent the firm in diverse forums, with community leaders, advocates and influential stakeholders
Proven management and leadership experience
Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage, prioritize, work under pressure
Excellent communication skills with ability to distill and present complex information plainly and succinctly
Ability and appetite to quickly develop expertise on new and emerging topics
Comfort building and maintaining strong relationships with a broad set of functional partners within a large, matrixed organization
Integrity and strong work ethic
Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, and analytical skills
Creative, flexible and collaborative with an ability to work both independently and in a team
Domestic travel, approximately once monthly or as needed
