    Primary Responsibilities:


    The Business Development Manager is responsible for the vertical and horizontal growth of our business by working directly with Territory Sales Managers to identify opportunities in existing regions/countries as well as identify new and untapped regions for expansion.

    Some duties will include but are not limited to:

    Cold calling potential or inactive retailers to solicit business, soliciting brands to offer promotional support for Export accounts, international travel, National Trade Show attendance, proactively reaching out to Territory Managers and Reps to grow vertical sales in their territory.


    Essential Functions:
    Work with Territory Managers to identify areas of opportunity in existing accounts
    Work with Territory Managers to identify new regions to expand
    Research and cold call new retailers
    Traveling with Territory Reps to present new initiatives to retailers
    Start initial business relationships with new retailers before passing them off to Territory Managers and Reps
    Solicit and identify brands willing to support sales growth
    Solicit new brands to work with Global directly

    Qualifications / Additional Skills /Aptitude:
    3-5 Years experience in Natural / Specialty food retailer industry
    Communication and marketing skills to be the point person between internal team members and brands.
    Client relationship management skills to maintain professional communication with customers and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
    Budgeting, bookkeeping, and planning skills and knowledge of associated computer software.
    Outgoing and energetic to cold call new retailers and brands on a daily business
    Quality assurance skills to maintain company quality standards of product and services.
    Excellent prioritizing and time management and prioritization skills to ensure efficient functioning of schedules and office systems.
    Excellent understanding of Microsoft Office Suite
    Spanish speaking
